Intern

TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM carries out strategic projects that guide the digital transformation of our country in the fields of production, management and sharing of scientific knowledge, and considers supporting young talents among its priority goals in line with this vision.

Working in a wide range of fields from scientific research infrastructures to open science policies, from high-performance computing systems to academic publishing, ULAKBIM offers university students the opportunity to gain experience in a corporate working environment. By providing internship opportunities to undergraduate students every year, ULAKBİM supports young people to take their first steps on their career paths.

Internship applications are received through the Career Gateway address within the scope of the National Internship Programme carried out by the Presidential Human Resources Office.

  • Students whose insurance procedures are carried out by the higher education institution to which they are affiliated and who continue their education in undergraduate (2nd year and above) and associate degree departments of universities can benefit from internship opportunities.
  • For undergraduate and associate degree students, the Weighted Grade Point Average must be at least 2.50 out of 4. The grade point averages of the candidates whose university grading systems are in the 100 system are converted to the 4 system based on the "Table of Correspondence of Grades in the 4 system in the 100 system" published by the Council of Higher Education.
  • Foreign language certificate is not required during the internship application process.

Researcher

By joining TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, you can work as a Researcher in projects carried out in strategic areas such as open science, academic publishing, scientific information systems, high-performance computing and national data infrastructures, and take part in studies that shape Turkey's science and technology ecosystem.

You can contribute to the development of research infrastructures, open and secure access to information and the realisation of national digital transformation policies in the projects you will take part in ULAKBIM.

Application Requirements:

  • Yabancı dil yeterliliği; ilanda yer alan sınav türlerinden uygun puanları almak veya lisans öğrenimini %100 İngilizce bölümde okumak,
  • To meet the special requirements for the advertisement (undergraduate department, duration of experience, field of specialization, etc.),
  • Providing the formula score:

For candidates with less than 3 years of experience:

Weighted Graduation GPA + (10,000 / University Placement Exam Rank) + Special Condition Additional Score* >= 3.20

For Candidates with 3 Years or More Experience:

Weighted Graduation GPA + (10,000 / University Placement Exam Rank) + 5*[1 / (1 + e (5 - year of experience) ) ] + Special Condition Additional Score* >= 3,20

*Additional points up to a maximum of 0.9 can be obtained from the Special Condition Additional Score.

Scholarship Recipient

As a national academic network and information center affiliated to TÜBİTAK, ULAKBIM allows undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students to be assigned as fellows in research projects. The scholarship programs aim to help students gain R&D culture and become part of the research ecosystem. Students are assigned as fellows in projects carried out at TÜBİTAK centers and institutes, thus gaining practical experience in different projects. Undergraduate/graduate/doctoral students gain R&D experience by working as fellows in national and international projects carried out within ULAKBİM.

Scholar Programs

  • Undergraduate (STAR Program): Undergraduate students can participate in research projects and gain experience as a scholar for 6 months within the scope of TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2247-C STAR Program.
  • Master's Degree (BİDEB 2210): Students supported as TUBITAK 2210 Domestic Graduate Scholars can work as a scholar in TUBITAK ARDEB or TEYDEB projects. Thus, the fellows gain experience by contributing to both thesis studies and projects.
  • PhD (BİDEB 2211): Students who are TÜBİTAK 2211 Domestic PhD Scholars can also take part in ARDEB/TEYDEB supported projects as scholars. PhD scholars can continue to receive their scholarships from TÜBİTAK as long as they continue to work in the projects.
  • Postdoctoral Researcher: Researchers who have completed their PhD can be assigned as a scholar (researcher) in ULAKBIM projects. In this program, researchers take part in TÜBİTAK projects and participate in research activities.

Scholarship applications can be submitted through TÜBİTAK BİDEB electronic application system (e-BIDEB) for online applications. For application dates and detailed conditions, the relevant announcements of TÜBİTAK BİDEB should be followed. 

Candidate Researcher

TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM supports the development of young talents by involving university students in its strategic projects in areas such as information and communication technologies, open science, academic publishing, high-performance computing and data management.

Students studying in the 3rd or 4th year in the relevant departments of universities, kariyer.tubitak.gov.tr published through the Job Application System at Part-time Candidate Researcher can apply for a part-time position at ULAKBIM. Thanks to this program, students gain valuable R&D experience by taking part in real projects while continuing their undergraduate education.

Students working as Candidate Researchers also have the opportunity to continue their careers full-time at ULAKBIM after graduation.

Our conditions for the Candidate Researcher Program:

    • To be a 3rd and 4th year student in the relevant departments of universities listed in the announcements,
    • Yabancı dil yeterliliği: İlanda yer alan sınav türlerinden uygun puanları almak veya lisans öğrenimini %100 İngilizce bölümde okumak,
    • Providing the formula score: Weighted Graduation GPA + (10,000/University Placement Exam Rank) + Special Condition Additional Score* >= 3.20

*Candidates who have competition degrees and awards in national and international competitions will receive 0.3 additional points.
