National Call: Pilot Access Applications Opened for MareNostrum 5 Supercomputer
TUBITAK ULAKBIM invites research communities in academia, industry and the public sector in Turkey to apply for the national pilot access program for MareNostrum 5 (MN5), one of the most advanced pre-exascale supercomputers in Europe. Located at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) in Spain and co-funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and the MN5 consortium (Spain, Portugal and Turkey), MN5 is a critical resource supporting groundbreaking research for academia, industry and the public sector.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are primarily open to research groups with experience in using national (e.g. ITU UHeM, TRUBA) or international high-performance computing centers and conducting R&D activities. Researchers from universities, industry and public institutions are encouraged to apply to use relevant supercomputing resources.
Application Details:
- Pilot Access Period: Applications are open until March 20, 2025.
- Application Deadlines: Applications will be considered twice a month and the deadlines will be the 6th and 20th of each month.
- Evaluation Process: Administrative and technical evaluations will be made according to the information provided in the "Pilot Access Application Form". In case of a high number of access application requests, "scientific peer review" may also be required according to the occupancy rate of the available calculation resource.
